Joyvina Evans (Dr. Joy) is the Founder/CEO of Confidence Academy. Dr. Joy is the author of From Chaos to Confidence: How to Triumph after Traumatic Experiences and Secrets of a Confident Teen: A 14-Day Guide to Becoming a Confident Young Woman of God. Dr. Joy is always looking to expand her brand as she has a Confidence Apparel line of t-shirts and Confident Teens Rock Mentoring Program.
Dr. Joy is no stranger to hard work having spent years as a student, she has her PhD and Master’s Degree in Public Health, Master’s Degree in Administration and Bachelor’s Degree in Business. As an educator, Dr. Joy currently serves as a Professor and a Higher Education Administrator. She completed the Women in Education Leadership program at Harvard University Graduate School of Education and is currently enrolled in Cornell University's High-Performance Leadership and Executive Leadership Certificate programs.
Dr. Joy’s successes are recognized locally and internationally. Features include the Greg Davis Show of Impact Network and 910am superstation, On Point with Ralph Godbee of 910am Superstation, Reading Circle, Cooks and Books Radio Show, Elev8te Magazine, Pretty Women Hustle, PEARL Sistahs, New Dimensions Magazine (South Africa), and numerous other podcasts and radio shows. She has had the privilege of speaking at conferences and events throughout the U.S. Dr. Joy previously hosted her own radio broadcast, Get Real with Dr. Joy on Oh So Radio and is currently a contributor for Hope for Women Magazine.
When Dr. Joy has a free moment from her thriving business and teaching; she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, serving at church, and practicing yoga. She is an active member of Triumph Church and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
